Private containers in public spaces

Architecture can be conceived as a collection of containers for bodies. This exhibit examined the standardized "containers" that exist in public spaces, revealing the ways an individual body might come into conflict with them. The exhibit is just one project conducted by the incLOOsion Project, a team of UB architecture faculty conducting research on improving restroom design. Although it closed Nov. 21, stories and images about experiences in public restrooms and locker rooms can still contribute to the research project. Photos: Douglas Levere
