BUFFALO, N.Y. — The University at Buffalo has launched a new webpage to highlight the new home of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

The new webpage is designed to raise the regional and national visibility of the new building, providing the public with information about its impact on the community, on research and on patient care, as well as its impact on medical education at UB.

The transition from UB’s South Campus to the downtown building will begin with faculty and staff moving into new offices and laboratories in November, and culminating in a formal grand opening in February 2018. Students will begin classes there in January.

Links on the page take visitors to a UBNow webpage that includes medical school news geared to the UB community; the webpage for UBMD Physicians’ Group, the practice plan of the UB medical school; a webpage about the Medical School Building Fund on how to support the new building; and for aspiring physicians, the admissions webpage of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

The new site will be updated regularly with news about the move and the new building as well as profiles about the people who are making the medical school’s new home a reality.
