The School of Architecture and Planning will conduct its Commencement ceremony to honor its graduates and degree candidates for the academic year on:
7/8/19
Among the Class of 2019 were nearly 70 graduates earning nationally accredited master’s degrees in architecture or urban planning, 10 graduates of the school’s MS in Real Estate Development program, and three doctorates in urban planning. Nearly 90 students earned bachelor’s degrees, including the pre-professional Architecture BS and the BA in Environmental Design.

“You have, by this point, put your career on a vector,” Daniel B. Hess, professor and chair of urban planning, told members of the School of Architecture and Planning's Class of 2018. “However that vector may change… resilience and flexibility in your professional life are important. Do not limit yourself to a normal or expected routine. Become the main character in your own story."

Please enjoy these memories of a milestone moment for our graduates. On May 19, 2017, 225 future architects and planners walked the stage. Among them was the first graduate of the school's doctoral program in urban planning.

Congratulations to the Class of 2016. This year the School of Architecture and Planning sent off 226 architects and planners into the world of practice and further academic pursuits. Held at UB's Center for the Arts on May 13, 2016, the ceremony was an elegant affair, presided over by UB President Satish K. Tripathi.
