Activities for graduate orientation kick off Thursday, August 22, and continue into the weekend

Orientation Tour of Buffalo.

Students explore Buffalo's grain elevators, known as "Silo City," as part of a day-long orientation walking tour of the city.

The School of Architecture and Planning is excited to kick off the 2019-20 academic year with a dynamic lineup of graduate student orientation events. Get to know faculty, staff and your fellow graduate students, gain facility with software and tools through in-depth tutorials, and enjoy our faculty-led treks through the campus and surrounding city. The School of Architecture and Planning officially opens the semester with its annual Welcome Celebration on Monday, August 26, at Noon, behind Hayes Hall.

Thursday, August 22:
Hear from school leadership, campus and facilities tour
8:30 - 4 pm, Hayes Hall

Friday, August 23:
City of Buffalo walking tour, faculty-student reception (graduate students only)
10 am - 7 pm, start in Hayes Hall

Saturday, August 24:
Fabrication Workshop and design software tutorials (architecture students only)
9 am - 5 pm, Hayes Hall and Parker Hall

Monday, August 26:
School-wide Welcome Celebration
12 pm, behind Hayes Hall
