Cost of Study


Semester tuition and fees charges are available on the Tuition and Fees webpage of the UB Office of Student Accounts.

The UB Office of Financial Aid also provides estimated annual costs of study across all programs, including tution, fees, supplies and living expenses, for financial aid and budgeting purposes.

School of Architecture and Planning Mandatory Fees

The School of Architecture and Planning, in order to maintain state-of-the-art technology and other unique teaching environments, assesses all majors a standard fee approved by the State University of New York. Nonmajors are also assessed a fee based on the number of School of Architecture and Planning credit hours taken in one semester. Nonmajors taking General Education or Honors Program courses are not charged a school fee.

The School of Architecture and Planning and the University at Buffalo offer a range of financial support opportunities for students. Resources range from financial aid to scholarships to student employment.
Awarded to graduating first-professional-degree candidates chosen from each of our master's programs for consistent, high-caliber design work performed in the design studios.
The School of Architecture and Planning, in partnership with the university, our alumni, our faculty and staff, and our philanthropic supporters, provides support to our undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to tuition scholarships, stipends for travel and supplies, and support for study abroad, our students, like our faculty, are actively engaged in teaching, research, and service—and are rewarded for their hard work.
