C. Jake Schneider, AIA.

Mr. Schneider heads both Schneider Design, Architects, PC, which focuses on  educational and religious architecture and adaptive reuse of historic structures and Schneider Development, LLC, a property development company targeting the adaptive reuse of vacant and derelict buildings in Buffalo’s downtown core.

Since that time he has adaptively revitalized over 400,000 square feet of mixed use space in previously empty downtown structures. Mr. Schneider has gained extensive expertise in delivering historic projects that include federal and state historic tax credit incentives. His award winning architecture and development projects dot the landscape of Western New York.

Mr. Schneider was a founding member of the Buffalo Renaissance Foundation, served two terms as its president,  and has been an active director since 1981. He also serves on the board of the Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo, is a trustee of the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site, was a past chair of the St. Francis High School Board of Directors,  and has held other important important philanthropic and religious posts.  He graduated the University of Notre Dame’s School of Architecture in 1978, and is a member of American Institute of Architects, the NCARB and the Interfaith Forum on Religious Art and Architecture.
