Ivor Cummings

Ivor Cummings (MArch/MUP '86) is a vice president and head of project and program management at Turner & Townsend, the leading independent global construction and management consultancy, delivering professional services as specialists in major programs, project controls, cost and project delivery.

Ivor also sits on the USA hi-tech and manufacturing board, bringing 30 years of design and construction experience in commercial real estate from work in 16 countries and 28 states that includes corporate, developer, hospitality, financial, media-entertainment, retail, hi-tech and manufacturing projects and programs. He joined Turner & Townsend 12 years ago and now leads the major programs team in his native New York, specializing in representing clients developing or improving assets in urban markets.

Over his career, beginning with the MTA, Ivor has led multi-disciplined, award-winning teams as consultant and owner. He has delivered value-creating services on high-rise, high-volume and high-end projects, totaling over 15 MSF for Fortune 100 companies. Ivor currently leads two Hudson Yards high-rise commissions and recently led major program assignments for a high-rise campus in Downtown Houston; and consulted on a campus master plan development in Silicon Valley.

The common theme in Ivor’s roles continues to be helping owners maximize value and manage delivery risk to operations and investments on iconic real estate products.

Ivor's qualifications include ACIAT and PMP certifications; masters degrees in architecture and urban planning, and a bachelor's in environmental design from the University at Buffalo.
