Our Approach to Research

Pushing at the periphery of knowledge and practice

Drawing from deep traditions in research-driven teaching and practice, our programs in architecture and urban planning are rooted in a culture of experimentation. Ideas come to life full scale in the community as we test, apply and scale research in practice settings. Deeply embedded in our urban contexts here and around the world, our community and partners in industry and practice are active collaborators in our research.
