This exchange program with the University of Darmstadt, Germany, provides opportunities for graduate or advanced undergraduate students to continue their studies through coursework, tutorials, and supervised independent study or research though affiliation with an academic program in Darmstadt.
Students may apply for one semester (fall or spring) or the full academic year. UB students accepted for the program will receive a graduate fellowship to help offset living costs. Darmstadt will provide partially subsidized living accomadations in a university residence hall; it may be possible to exchange housing arrangements with a Darmstadt student coming to UB. Life in Darmstadt is strongly influenced by the university community, which makes up about one-fifth of its nearly 100,000 residents. The university is in the city center, which offers abundant cultural and recreational resources.
This is an official exchange program between the Technische - Hochschule in Darmstadt, Germany, and the School of Architecture and Planning. Students spend one semester of one year at the exchange school. Fluency in German is required.
Eligibility: Graduate Architecture Students
Cost: Tuition paid at UB; Students pay for room, board and travel.
