Stephanie Davidson studied Fine Art at Mount Allison University, Canada (BFA, 2000) and architecture at Dalhousie University, Canada (BEDS, 2002; MArch 2005) and the Architectural Association, London England.

Stephanie is a recipient of the Power Corporation of Canada Fellowship at the Canadian Center of Architecture (CCA), Montreal Canada, a European Ceramic Work Centre (ekwc) Residency for architecture and ceramics, den Bosch the Netherlands, and currently, a Canada Council of the Arts Research/Creation Grant for Emerging Practitioners. Stephanie was Assistant Professor teaching architectural design at the RWTH Aachen University in Germany from 2007 until 2010 and is currently Clinical Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo. 

Prior to her collaboration with Georg Rafailidis, Stephanie worked in offices in Vienna (Florian Haydn), Montreal (Provencher Roy et Associés), Cologne (Molestina Kraus). She was competition team member at sauerbruch hutton gmbh and project architect for Gonzalez Haase, both in Berlin. She was the recipient of a Disonancias Art for Innovation fellowship in the Basque region of Spain (2006-7) and was invited to participate in artist-in-residency programs in England, Germany, the Netherlands and the USA. Stephanie’s work explores the theme of architectural “generosity” - how architecture can relate to people in physical and unexpected ways.
