The Graduate Planning Student Association is a student-led organization dedicated to representing the academic and professional interests of graduate students in urban planning at University at Buffalo.
Our mission is to cultivate graduate student excellence in academic study, professional development, and community service. We organize events and activities to foster academic enrichment, career development, social connections, and community engagement.
The GPSA is open to all Master of Urban Planning and PhD in Urban and Regional Planning students at the University at Buffalo. The GPSA works collaboratively with departmental faculty and staff and other student organizations in the School of Architecture and Planning to enhance the graduate student experience. We are the student link to the local and national chapters of the American Planning Association and strongly encourage students to travel to the local and national conferences every year. The GPSA holds monthly meetings on campus during the academic year and all students are encouraged to attend and participate. The GPSA also hosts events and activities, including Plansgiving, happy hours, software tutorials, professional networking events, and guest speakers.
