Professional Mentor Program

The School of Architecture and Planning, in partnership with local chapters of the American Institute of Architects and the American Planning Association, has developed a Professional Mentor Program for alumni and friends to share their experiences and advice with current students.

The Professional Mentor Program pairs working professionals with students in relationships that help him or her prepare for life after college. Discussions focus on professional preparation and career planning. Activities include helping students develop career plans, reviewing resumes and portfolios, offering practice interviews, hosting students in the workplace, and introducing or referring students to other professionals.

Mentors help students prepare for professional opportunities and provide guidance on seeking internships and applying for jobs.
