Molly Ranahan.

Dr. Ranahan is an NRSA T32 Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UB’s Primary Care Research Institute and a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine. Molly is an urban planner by training and has conducted community-based research in the Western New York region for nearly a decade. Her current research focuses on understanding and applying community engagement strategies to reduce health disparities in diverse populations of older people through the transformation of healthcare systems and patient empowerment. She also participates in local advocacy and community service efforts through roles as a co-director of Age-Friendly Erie County initiative and a board member of the Pride Center of Western New York and Embrace Western New York. Molly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design and a Master and PhD in Urban and Regional Planning from the University at Buffalo.​
