Mr. Grace has been working as a practicing Structural Engineer in Western New York since 1974.
His career began designing industrial facilities. His projects included work for Union Carbide Corp, Eastman Kodak, Ford Stamping Plant, and Hooker Chemical.
As the nature of the economy changed, the nature of his structural engineering projects also changed. Although some industrial work has remained, Mr. Grace began to concentrate on Hospitals, Schools, Office and Residential projects.
In 1997, he became an owner of Siracuse Engineers, the largest local firm specializing in Structural Engineering.
Mr. Grace has been recognized by his fellow Western New York colleagues with several awards. He received the Thomas H McKaig Award from the local American Concrete Institute chapter and the Joseph A Siracuse Award from the local AIA chapter.
Historical Preservation has been a longstanding interest of Mr. Grace. He is a past member of the City of Buffalo Preservation Board, and has developed a noted expertise in the construction of nineteenth century structures.
