Stephanie Davidson studied Fine Arts at Mount Allison University and architecture at Dalhousie University and the Architectural Association in London, United Kingdom. She worked for several international practices including AAS Gonzales Haase and Sauerbuch Hutton. She taught at the RWTH Aachen University, Germany and is currently teaching at the State University of New York at Buffalo, AAU in San Francisco. She was named Visiting Professor at the University of Toronto for the current academic year. Her work garnered numerous international publications and was recently awarded a large number of international awards including the Blueprint magazine award 2016, DETAIL Prize finalist 2016, Best of Canada Design Award in 2015 and 2016 and is this year’s finalist in the House Award by the Architectural Review. Davidson co-wrote the book Processes of Creating Space: An Architectural Design Workbook (Routledge, 2017) with endorsements by Herman Hertzberger, Jacques Rousseau and Rachel Whiteread.
